Z-O-O-!

Chris went out of town this past weekend so it was just Lydia and I all weekend. We had a blast (especially me!) I made Lydia a rag blanket (like the babies)...from the baby so she doesn't feel left out. We painted our nails, watched lots of "Toy Story I and II" she got a new "Jesse" doll, she got to play with her Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen and meet her new cousin Dane. But my favorite thing we did was go to the zoo!

I haven't been to the zoo since I was a little kid and so it brought back a lot of fond memories ( I don't remember the zoo stinking so bad as a kid, but maybe that's just from being prego) of my family going there. Lydia loved seeing all the animals in real life and kept on making the sounds that they make. There truly is no greater feeling than seeing your kids happy! This was a great weekend for that!

The good old lion drinking fountains...I have pics of me and my brothers in front of that same fountain!
She said "Mama yook, yion rrraaaagggghhhh!"
Elephants
Lydia called this one "THE DADDY!"
We had to go on the carosel, and she wanted to ride the baby elephant.
I LOVE THAT LITTLE GIRL!
The rhino's
My favorite the giraffe's
She even got to see a leopard eating a chuck of cow...gross!
And to finish it off we went on the train...another one of Lydia's latest obsessions!
Choo Choo!

The 4th 2010

It has become somewhat of a Knudsen Family tradition to go to the cabin and the Oakley rodeo for the 4th. This year was no exception and it was so much fun. We missed Patrice but we are so excited that little Dane Hawk Pedersen is here and safe and that the new mommy and baby are doing well!

We started off the weekend with the boys going golfing (big surprise) and we met them up at the Rodeo...I didn't take my camera so I'm going to have to steal some pics from Linds. Stayed the night at the cabin and woke up ready to hit the parade like last year. We were disappointed to find out that the parade wasn't until Monday (so we weren't going to be around for that) We did however still do some 4-wheeling, and motorcycling, napping, shopping at the outlets and the boys did some more golfing. We all met up Saturday night at "The Yolk" a great little restaurant in Kamas. The blue cheese potato chips are the die for. Then the next morning went to the lake and to church and back to the dreadfully hot VALLEY!

It was such a fun 4th of July not only because of all the fun stuff we did, but also because it was fun to be with family and celebrate what an amazing country we live in!

The kiddo's eating mountain hash...yum, yum!
Cute Raini on the play-set
Liddy hogging the swing as usual
My studly hubby sporting a motorcycle...isn't my husband so hot?
(Meg you'll get that one ha ha ha!)
Clint and the kids taking a ride on the 4-wheeler

The only way I could get Lydia on the 3-wheeler was to tell her that we were looking for the chipmunks (From Alvin and the chipmunks) The whole time she was yelling "TOBY, where are you?" (He is the guy on the squeakel.) And she kept saying she saw "Beabore" i.e. Theadore
Lyd loves her Aunt Lindsey!
We love the cabin for all the maxing and relaxing you get to do!

My Little COWGIRL!

Well it is official Lydia is going to be a total HICK (ha ha ha!) I don't know if it is because she has grown up in Riverton where on our walks we pass several horses and farms with horses or if it has more to do with her recent obsession with "Toy Story" Her favorite is BUZZ but we have sort of pushed Jesse on her too (ha ha ha!)

Anyways over the 4th we went to the Oakley rodeo and she LOVED every second of it. She called it the "Rideo" and she will tell ya all about the Horsey's, bull's and the RED truck that she saw. Every time we pass the horses on our walk to the park she asks if we can go to the Rideo...ha ha ha! Anyways I fully embrace my daughter's cowgirl passions and will admitt I wish I was a cowgirl (for real!!!)

One of her favorite lines is "YEE HAW!"
She didn't get those pouty lips from me, that's for sure.
Her grandma Knudsen got her these darling red boots for her birthday and she has loved wearing them...and I'm not going to lie I think they are the cutest things EVER!
Giddy up!
I love my little cowgirl!

June Lake Powell Trip

Oh how we love Lake Powell! This trip was so fun, minus that fact that I couldn't participate in all the fun things I usually do at the Lake! It was tough but it will be worth it in the end! Anyways thanks Mom and Dad for another great trip, and I know Lydia had a BLAST!

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!

It's a girl!

She's going to be a dancer
