Memorial day fun

Memorial day holds a special place in my heart for a couple of reasons...#1 Chris and I got engaged on Memorial day, and to make it even more memorable we actually got engaged at his Grandparent's farm, where they have breakfast on the creek every Memorial day!

Also I love it because I have quite a few people in my family including my grandpa and grandma Pierce and my Uncle Steve (my dad's brother) who served in the military! I love to pass the cemeteries and see all the beautiful flowers and balloons and remember those who have passed on serving our amazing country.

This year consisted of Breakfast on the creek, 2 huge bon-fires at the farm, shopping at the outlets, The Dodo for lunch, visiting my family! Needless to say it was a great day, and a great time spent catching up with family and friends!

Lydia and Raini loved to SWING! Lydia would've stayed on the swing all day long if she could!
Bode...such a little stud!
Cute Patrice and Bode
"Higher daddy, higher!"
Quite the crew huh?
Of course Lydia found the only dog there and wanted to be by him the rest of the time!
Could they be any cuter?
Loading up the trailer to add to the bonfire!
Cute Justin and Lindsey...don't they still just look like newlyweds?
My man, heading up the bonfire efforts and loved every minute of it!
Lydia was a little scared of the fire, luckily her sweet cousin Bode was there to hold her hand!

SO MUCH FUN!

Backyard of mis-fit trees!

One of my all time favorite Christmas movies is "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" the claymation one of course. I always have such a soft spot for the toys that are stuck on the "Island of mis-fit toys!" Well I now feel like our backyard has become the backyard of misfit trees (ha ha ha!) Chris heard about a nursery in Orem that was going out of business so we went and checked it out. We found pine trees for $5 and trees for $10 so needless to say we bought quite a few. Anyways they are not the best looking trees but I see their potential! Anyways I can't help but look out in our backyard and think...we are giving them a chance (ha ha ha!)

Don't worry, that is snow on May 24th...aaaahhhh!
I call these our Dr. Seuss trees, since they are all different shapes!
Our $5 pine trees I think were our best find for sure
The forest around Lydia's sand box...those have since been planted. Most of those went into our neighbors back-yard though...we need a little privacy so we don't feel so much like we are living in a fish bowl (ha ha ha!)
Love the snow...NOT!
Those boots were made for walking!

Family Fun Night!

We always love having family over for Sunday dinner.
It usually consists of Grandpa spoiling Lydia rotten with so much attention.
Tyler playing with Che' because he feels bad for him.
Good food and usually good conversations (which sometimes get heated)
And lately a funny game of SNORTA and ALWAYS a game of SCUM!!!

Tyler and his Friend that is a girl Jill (hint hint)
Derek and his girlfriend Ashlie

A Disney Dance Recital to Remember!

Well we had our Dance recital Tuesday, we did a Disney Theme this year which turned out to be so much fun! All of my girls were so darling, with their huge smiles up on the stage! I have never been so proud, they danced their little hearts out and they truly did amazing! I feel so lucky to have the job I do and to be able to work with such amazing little girls! I was especially impressed with my older girls and all the progress they have made over the past year, they truly inspire me with the amazing passion for dance. I had so much help this year and seriously don't know what I would do without all the amazing people who have supported me throughout this incredible journey! Anyways thanks to everyone and I already can't wait for the fall so we can get started on BROADWAY!!!

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!
