Academy of Dance Spring '09 Recital

Well last night was my dance studio's first spring concert. I was so proud of all my little girls and how hard they worked. It went off without a hitch and I think that they all did an absolutely amazing job. I seriously love that I get to teach dance and I seriously feel so blessed that not only do I get to do what I love but it also allows me to be able to stay home with Liddy. Anyways here are some pics, I think that their costumes are darling, but then again the girls in them are what make them sparkle. Also a HUGE thanks to my best friend Meg, my sister-in-law Lindsey, my mother-in-law Robin and especially my MOM. They were all such a huge help and really the show would not happen without them. So thanks you guys are the best and I love ya to death! My little 2-4 yr old class (there are really 7 in the class but only 3 signed up in time to get costumes...I thought it still turned out darling with just the three!)
My Girls just wanna have fun...they are so stinkin cute!

L.O.V.E. girls doing their kick line!

Twist and Shout...they were my only 2-4 yr old class that could do the dance with just a little help in the front, they were awesome!

Disturbia...don't they look tough (ha ha ha!) They seriously rocked!

Great balls of fire...This little class is so good and I must say their's is one of my favorite costumes.
I will survive, they stole the show this class was absolutely amazing and they worked really hard to make it that way!

Feedback, my oldest girls hip hop...they are all so amazing and have made such huge improvements I am so proud of this class!

A.B.C. they are so cute and have the best showmanship...I loved their costumes as well.

Life of the party...ok so I think I really love all of the costumes!

My oldest girls have only taken jazz since January and they were busting out back leaps, pirouette's and in class they are starting to get their fuetay's I really am so proud of them.

The way I are...They did such a good job!

The finale...what a relief to have it over. I am so excited for August already. Next year I am doing a Disneyland Theme and I am pretty stoked about it so if you know anyone that lives in my area looking for dance, send them my way!

Elder Darin White Knudsen...See ya in 2!

Well yesterday we took Darin to the MTC. He was set apart Tuesday night and the family was all able to get together for a steak dinner and see him get set apart. I had to teach dance but I heard that it was pretty cool. Then we all met up at the MTC. I had never had this experience since we dropped Tyler off at the airport and he went to the Brazilian MTC. Anyways we got there and dropped his luggage off, then were ushered into a huge chapel where they did a devotional and gave some instructions to the missionaries and we watched a movie called...Called to serve. Ok so I was a mess then all of a sudden they just say ok missionaries out one door, and families out the other and then he was gone. We were all so sad, Darin is going to be missed so much he is just the best kid and to have him gone for two years is going to be a challenge. BUT we are so proud of him and know he will be the most amazing missionary. So I know Darin can't read this but Church is true...see ya in 2! The proud parents...Robin and Wayne have done an amazing job raising their kids all 4 boys have served missions!
Liddy with her grandma...poor Lydia get's a little car sick so I think that's why she isn't smiling.

The brothers together for the last time...good thing they got all their Halo in before Darin left now maybe Lindsey and I can have our husbands back (ya right!) But I will say Thrilling Thursday's just won't be the same without Dar.

The whole family...are we all so good looking (Ha ha ha!)

It was so funny as Darin was getting ready to leave to hear Chris' and Justin's experiences in the MTC, let's just say they were very different experiences.

Darin is going to be missed by everyone...but especially his mom!

Darin is seriously the best brother-in-law ever, he is just such a good kid and we are truly going to miss him.

Darin with Grandpa White and Mommy Kay...they are so excited to have another missionary out, I think that they may even get to visit him in the MTC since they work with the couple missionaries right now!

Lydia may not know it now but she has the coolest uncle Darin, who is going to serve the Lord for 2 years and we will make sure that she know's who he is by the time he get's home.

I think that Lydia was pooped...and we were all emotionally drained!

Mother's Day in Poop City!

Well I know that this is a little late but better late than never. For Mother's day this year my parents had their Park City condo for the weekend. So Friday night we headed up there for some of my mom's amazing taco's and 7 layered dip. Saturday morning my mom and I headed to the outlets and my dad went on a 65 mile bike ride and Chris caught up on some much needed sleep. It was a beautiful day and we actually found a lot of cute stuff. Then that afternoon we went and saw the new Star Trek movie...now I want to clarify right now I am in no way a treky but I will say what I saw of the movie (i.e. when I wasn't out in the hall with Lydia) I loved. After the movie we went to the Gateway grille. If you are ever in Kamas and looking for a great place to eat go there, it is so dang good. It may be in Kamas but it is very upscale food with a home town feel. Our meal was absolutely amazing and the desserts were even better. Plus you don't have to bother with the crowds of Park City. Overall it was a great weekend. Sunday Chris woke up with Lydia so I could actually get ready without the little toad and we went to church and the ward gave out some pretty amazing cookies. Then we had kababs at my parents and had a chance to visit with Chris mom and both grandparents. Overall it was a great mother's day and still a little hard to believe that I am a mom, but I love it. My amazing mom, I love my mom so much and hope that I can be 1/2 the mom that she is.
Lydia playing by Grandpa's pride and joy...his bike!

Lydia getting her game face on for a little shopping at the outlets.

She had to ride the car with Kermit...we watch Sesame Street every day!

She wasn't loving the helicoptor, as soon as it started moving she wanted out.

She fell asleep on the ride home from the outlets, that's usually how I feel after shopping too.

I thought my parents creme' brule looked so amazing and it tasted as good as it looked.

My cute parents...thanks again for an amazing weekend.

There is nothing better than spending time together as a family!
Ah do I haveta take a picture?

Out with the old...in with the new!

Well Lydia started walking about a month ago...but she was very particular about when and who she would walk to. She would do it a couple of times and then just get frustrated because crawling didn't require as much effort. Last week I was watching some of the neighbor kids and that was the end of crawling for Lydia. She was so funny she would see Kaylee and D.J. walking and didn't want to feel left out so she walked everywhere just like them. It was so fun to see and I think that she has seen the light. So here is to out with the old and in with the new...which also brings a whole new set of obstacles and challenges but I say bring it on!

The kids had a lot of fun, I think Lydia really enjoyed having someone other than me to play with. We played in the bubbles, played with the playdough and had a lot of time spent with all of Lydia's toys!

I had to stop Lydia more than once from trying to eat the play dough...ha ha ha!

She finally decided that enough is enough and we couldn't be more excited!

I was laughing so hard because Lydia was absolutely intent on walking with her blankie...this is her love and she goes everywhere with it (too bad she picked the only white blanket!)

The next day we made cookie's and Lydia loved to lick the beaters!

Some fun in the sun in good old St.George!

Well we went to St. George this past weekend for a final golf trip for Darin and for a much needed vacation for the rest of us. It was so much fun. Lindsey and I drove down Thursday night, we thought oh this will be good Lydia will sleep and then we will have all day Friday. Well Lydia didn't sleep and about Fillmore she threw up, quite a bit at that. So poor thing wasn't feeling too hot, I think she might get car sick (is that crazy?) Anyways so we arrived in St. George at about 1:30 am and yes Lydia was a little pill and wouldn't sleep once we got there either. She finally went down about 4:30 and woke up at about 6:30 am so needless to say we were pretty tired. And to make things even better when we got there poor Raini had been throwing up all night too, so poor Robin had the after math all over her nightgown (ha ha ha!) Anyways we hit the shops early hitting my favorite TJ MAXX and Patrice introduced us to one of her favorites "Urban Renewal" it was the cutest store but one you need to go in without kids (ha ha ha!) Later we had some Cafe' Rio then we went to the pool. It was so stinkin fun, I love that Lydia is getting old enough to actually enjoy things. She and the other kids were hillarious. That night the boys finally got there after golfing 18 holes in Fillmore and we all got a little bit more sleep. The next day we took the kids to the park and Patrice was headed home with her kids, little did she know while she was gone Clint had gotten the basement carpeted...we were all laughing because we all knew and she couldn't figure out why Clint didn't want her to come home yet! Later Lindsey and I did some more shopping and she took me to "The Egg and I" which I had heard everyone talk about from previous trips we had missed and yes it was even better than I had imagined. Jared and Stacey got there that after noon. Poor Stacey had Strep throat and didn't want to pass it on to anyone so they came up after her contagious period was up. We went to the pool, played some tennis, the girls got pedicures, and just had a blast. I got more fried than I have in years and I am still paying for it. It was so much fun, but sort of bitter sweet because for 2 more years we will be without Darin. Anyways as always it was a great trip and already I can't wait until next year!

Lydia making sure that she is fully covered in sun screen...inside and out! (ha ha ha!)
Robin, Patrice and Bode playing at the kiddie pool...it was so much fun!

The kids were so funny they wanted to get a pop so bad, they played over there for about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get one. I love Lydia's rolls on her legs they are so funny.
Lydia loved the pool.

Aunt Linds was such a huge help on the trip, she got a real taste of being a mom.

Bode pushing Lydia in her floaty thing she hated.

We took the kids to a really cool park, we went back and took all the boys even they had a lot of fun.

The cute cousins

All Lydia wanted to do was put the bark in the hole...I don't know what to say!

"Oh mom this is so much fun!"

Liddy having fun with Daddy in the pool!

Later that night we went to Texas Roadhouse...one of my all time favorites their loaded sweet potatoes are the bomb! Darin was taking it all in, enjoying his last family vacation, we are sure going to miss him and that amazing personality!

Justin and Linds, the boys had bought air soft guns while we were shopping at the outlets! Needless to say there were a lot of funny stories that emerged from those guns.

Jared and Stace, Jared cracks me up...in every picture I have of them he is pulling that face. Stacey was a trooper, she was very sick and still could smile and have a good time.

Robin and Wayne they made the whole trip possible...BTW thanks Robin for the pedicure's my toes have never looked so good!

Our family, we couldn't get one where you could see Lydia's face...oh well!

This is my favorite pic of her holding on to grandpa's finger

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!

It's a girl!

She's going to be a dancer
