5 months old!

Happy 5 month B-day baby girl! Liddy bug next to her bunny...she is finally starting to look a little bit bigger than the bunny!
I know i'm obsessed but she get's cuter every day. She is 5 months and still fitting into her new born clothes, her 3-6 month clothes are still a little baggy on her. She is rolling over and smiles at people. She loves to stand up and loves being on the front pack so she can touch as many things as she can get her hands on. She loves cuddling with her dad in the morning and giggles every time I put her onsies over her head. She thinks raspberries are funny, and she drools like there is no tomorrow! She is my little munchkin and I love her to death!

Yuba...our own little oasis!

Yuba Lake
Well this weekend we went to Yuba lake just outside of Nephi. We have been dying to use all of our camping gear that we got from my parents. We stayed in the Oasis campground and had an absolute blast. We got there Friday afternoon and decided to spring for the biggest site in the whole place...it was perfect. The water was a bit chilly and Friday it rained but we weathered the storm and surfed Friday. That night we had a great bon-fire, with the good old dura-flames that "burn for 4 hours" (that one's for you Justin!)Then we woke up Saturday morning to perfect glass and the cold water didn't deter us in the least. It was a great way to end the season, we all had a great run, and just enjoyed being on the lake. We got off for lunch and the wind started up and it just wouldn't quit. We took Che down to the beach so the boys could try to see if he would dive after them, which he didn't. The wind just wouldn't let up so we packed up and came home a little early. But for anyone considering a mini-vacation to the oasis campground...count us in! Thanks Justin, Lindsey and Darin for coming with us!

The pavilion at the group sight...notice the glass in the background!
Chris and I inherited a bunch of camping gear from my parents and he has been dying to use it so we finally got our chance. We are pretty set up...it was so much fun, I love camping!
Who are we kidding my dad was so nice to let us take the boat... he is always so nice to share the joy! Also thanks to the Knudsen's for letting us borrow their truck!
Lindsey holding my little bundled baby...I was a little paraniod about her getting cold...hence the massive sweater and beanie! (But boy does she still look darling)
My little beach bum with her favorite...Daddy!

Keep on rolln'

Last Thursday Lydia rolled over from back to front for the first time...and also when she is on her tummy she is starting to pull her knees up and into her stomach which almost looks like an attmept to crawl. I can't believe how fast time flies, from getting excited about smiles to having to put her on the floor instead of the couch because she can roll over. It is all so much fun. She will also do raspberries to you if you do them to her...she is so inquisitive and I just love being able to stay home so that I don't miss one moment of all the new things she does!

Mia Mya, Mya Mia's baptism!

Melissa and Reese...she is 8 months old and a so dang sweet!

The kids leaning over the font to see Mia get baptized!

Mia looked so darling in her white dress...it was so fun to see all of her little friends. She had about 12 little girls all her age there to support her!

Reese and Lydia Playing in the little Einstiens toy...Reese is looking at Lydia like whats the big deal?

They both got fed up...what a perfect picture, I don't think either one of their mouths could be open any wider! (Ha ha ha)

Well for most people you don't get to pick your family but we feel like we lucked out in that we sort of chose a family to adopt us in. If any of you have ever heard us talk about the "Babcocks" or the "Ross" you know what i'm talking about. Well Friday was Mia Babcock's 8th birthday and she was also baptized. It was so sweet to see her in her beautiful white dress and so excited. It was also very special because all of the Rosses came. Scott and Chauntel came in from Boise as well as Rene and Bill. Melissa flew in with her darling little girl Reese from South Carolina. Dick is living here in Utah and of course he was there. So anyways here's to the family that we made our own. We seriously love them so much. They all came to my parents Saturday night for dinner and foot-ball, and it was just such a blast, hanging out and enjoying catching up. It was also so much fun to see what I have in store Reese is crawling and is just so much fun, I can't wait! Anyways we love you guys and can't wait until we can see you all again! (P.S. my dad has pictures of everyone esle so i'll be adding more when I get them!)

I have a dream!

Last Chance Lakes
Each property has their own dock
The view of the side that the houses would be on
The straight shot on the north side...with a bouy course!
The round about to minimize wake for the perfect ski run
The "U"
Ok so maybe we are totally weird but we have a dream of one day having a house or cabin or something on a lake. Well we love to dream and so we went on a Sunday drive to "Last chance lakes." It is in Vernon Utah and is a pretty sweet set up. It is a man-made ski lake. It is set up with 19 lots for homes to be built with their own boat docks. It has a bouy course and two round abouts so that you never have to actually go back over your own wake. For me this is a dream come true, pure glass all day every day who could ask for more? Anyways here is to dreaming...and for all of you who have the same dream check out www.lastchancelakes.com it's pretty sweet!

Ode to Argentina!

"The Napoletana"
While Chris and I were in Argentina we became absolutely obsessed with one food...now I know what most of you are thinking South America, probably rice and beans or maybe a taco (sorry for the Michael Scott sterotypes) But it was PIZZA. Surprisingly in Argentina there were a few staple foods meat, pasta and pizza. Well me being borderline vegetarian the pasta and pizza were great. We recently talked to one of the families that we spent a lot of time with, while we were there they made us this amazing pizza called the "Napoletana"so the other night I was feeling creative and so I tried it out. Now i'll show the pictures of their version and mine...I will admit their's was much better but it didn't turn out to bad for a knock off! So heres to the napoletana and good old Argentina!

Christmas Eve dinner with the Beckmon family...they cooked these pizzas in a mud oven!

My version...Thanks mom for the tomatoes and basil out of your garden!

The big 26!

It is Birthday Month!
Well for those of you who don't know Chris and I have birthday's 6 days apart. Mine is September 3rd and Chris' is September 9th. So to back up a little for my birthday Chris took me up to the outlets to go shopping, then we had to come back down so I could teach dance. After that we decided to go on a little adventure. Now I more than anyone dug my heels in when Chris suggested that we move to the west side...I grew up on the east side and there is just an unspoken stigma about the west side. Well I'm gonna be honest when I say I am so glad that I trusted my husband...we have loved it. Now my biggest complaint though is that we are so far from the mountains...which I love and miss. So Chris did his research and wanted to take me up a west-side canyon which I have to say was absolutely amazing. It is Butterfield Canyon and you can actually drive it all the way into Tooele. Anyways it was an amazing drive and did make me see that we have a beautiful canyon close to home as well...if only we could ski then it would be perfect.

Anywyas after that we went to a local Riverton restaurant called "Mark Antony's" it is a really nice Italian restaurant, after which we rented "What happens in Vegas", which actually turned out to be a really cute movie

The view from about 3/4 of the way up the canyon!
Looking down into Kenacott...from the other side!
Lydia was a trooper on the bumpy dirt roads!
We even got to see some wildlife up close and personal!

Now Chris Birthday is tomorrow... I know he doesn't really care about birthday's but it is a great time for me to just remember how lucky I am. He is such an amazing husband and father and I feel so blessed to be married to him. So Happy Birthday Chris and just know that I love you so so much! Just in case he doesn't believe me (ha ha ha) here are the top ten reasons why!

1. He would do anything for me...(i.e. finishing the nursery before we even moved in, even though he was dead tired!)

2.He can make anything seem exciting...(picking up Che's poop, by making it a competition.)

3. He is amazing at everything he does, and if he isn't he acts like it which is a total turn on!

4. He doesn't get mad when I wake him up to tell him to stop snoring!

5. He is so easy going and in the middle of fights he can make me laugh so hard I forget why I was mad!

6. He likes to daydream about the future with me...(draw our dream home!)

7. He isn't afraid to be a kid, still loves things like Rockband and playing on 12 foot tires at Lake powell.

8. He makes me feel like I can make the best Quesadilla's on the planet...just so I'll make him one more!

9. He worships the ground our daughter lay's on!

10. He loves the gospel and honors his priesthood. I always know I can count on him!

I love him to death and hope he has a great Birthday!

Everyone poops!

Reader beware...there is poop involved in this story!
Ok so Lydia when she wakes up in the morning or even in the night sometime she kicks her feet out of her snap pajamas. Now she had done this a couple of times and so I bought her some jamies with a zipper to solve this problem. Well we got home Friday night late and Lydia had been an angel all night. She slept through dinner and a movie (Hancock... which was pretty loud!)When I got home all of her zipper pajamas were in the washer so I just figured she would be fine in her snaps, since she was so tired. That night she woke up at about 2:00 and so I went in to calm her down which and put her back to sleep (she had kicked out so I put her back in.) Then when she woke up for her morning feeding at about 6:00 I went in and kept the lights off like usual. She had kicked out of her pajamas so her little chicken legs were sticking out, which I didn't think anything of because it had happened before.
Boy was I mistaken. When I picked her up I noticed she was a little wet, so I turned on the light and noticed that her diaper had come undone. Well when I looked even closer I noticed some sticky brown substance on her feeties...yes you guesd it POOP! So when i pulled her blanket back the poor thing had pooped and peed in her crib. I felt horrible, because lately I have been turning off the monitor so that I only wake up when she really is awake and not just every little whimper and now I felt so guilty because who knows how long she had been laying there!
So needless to say I went out the next day and bought 3 more pairs of pajamas with zippers so that this never happens again!

This is my favorite pic of her holding on to grandpa's finger

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!

It's a girl!

She's going to be a dancer
