Family Reunions

Playing pool volley ball
On the steps...Stacey, Patrice and Shay Knudsen
Little Lydia's first dip in the pool...she wasn't sure how much she liked it!
I was trying to be a good mom and keep the sun out of her face, but the hat was a little too big.
Lydia loved the pool so much she cried when we took her out...atleast that is what I would like to think!
The Past two weeks have been fun filled wtih family reunions. We had my family reunion on the 19th and actually had it over at the club house in our neighborhood. It was a lot of fun... we swam at the pool and played rock band in the theater room. It was fun to catch up with all of my cousins and see all of my aunts and uncles again. I think everyone enjoyed having it there so much that we are going to do the Christmas party there as well.
Then on the 24th we had the White family reunion (Chris' mom's side of the family.) We woke up early and had a family picture taken over at the farm and then had a good old breakfast on the creek. Afterwards most of the family went and floated the provo river...I couldn't go because I had to watch Lydia but Chris said he had a lot of fun. Then we all went back to his grandparents home for dinner and family history. It was so much fun to see pictures of Chris' aunts and uncles and hear all of their funny stories.
Then the 25-27th we had the Knudsen family reunion up at Wolf creek in Huntsville. Friday night we played badmitten and tennis and games. Then we woke up the next morning and a lot of the family went on a hike then that afternoon we went swimming...it was the only time that I actually remembered to bring my camera and since it was Lydia's first dip in the pool we had to document it. Then that evening we had a family history presentation done by Chris' aunt Karen and played a really fun game of family BINGO. Then to top it off Karen's family surprised us all with a marshmellow war.
It was a very fun and family filled week. I feel so blessed to have been born into such an amazing family, as well as marrying into such a great family. It was so fun catching up with so many people we haven't seen forever and just being able to hang out and have fun.

And I thought child birth was bad...

I woke up Saturday morning at about 4:00 am with horrible cramping in my left side. At first I thought it was just cramps and that it would just go away...well it just kept getting worse and worse. So finally I got up and took some Ibuprophen and drank a bunch of water just thinking that I was dehydrated. Well the pain just wouldn't go away and it got the the point where I was just crying because I was so uncomfortable. So finally at about 8:00 we thought we would go to the instacare, so Chris' mom came to watch Lydia and we took off flying like a bat out of hell. Well to make matters worse I was in so much pain I was throwing up, so we got to the instacare and decided to just keep driving to Alta View hospital. The whole time we were driving I literally thought I was going to die, I kept telling Chris how much I loved him and our daughter (and how I didn't want him to get re-married in the temple...I know i'm selfish.) So we pull up and I'm in so much pain I'm just crying and throwing up and I step out of the car and almost pass out so the nurse comes out with a wheel chair and they get me on some meds STAT. So once the meds started to take affect and I could think straight I realized I wasn't going to die...but prior to that it sure felt like it. So they did a CT scan and come to find out I have kidney stones.

Yes I can attest they are far worse than giving birth. The pain won't go away and there is no amazing reward at the end of the pain...unless you consider a kidney stone a reward. So anyways I've passed one...but there was still another one in the CT scan so I'm still geared up for another one. All you people who have had them and haven't had kids you are set...It will be a total breeze!

Academy of Dance

Hey everyone...so I'm opening up a dance studio in my basement. If you know of anyone in the Riverton, South Jordan, Herriman area who is looking for a great studio that is very inexpensive send them my way.
We are having an open house August 2nd from 12-2
And then Classes will begin August 4th!
Thanks!

3 Months...boy has that flown by!

Happy 3 month baby girl!
She loves to have Chris hold her!
Sunday in her cutest little dress with a darling little smile.
Her with her bunny...this is to measure how big she is getting
Don't mind the spit up on her dress...its a pretty normal thing for her!
Ok so I can't believe it but Lydia just had her 3 month B-day! I know it sounds silly but I can not believe how fast it went. She is rolling over, smiling, laughing, baby talking, she loves for you to hold her standing up and so much more. I seriously can't begin to tell you how much I love her and how blessed I feel to have her in our home.

The Baby Blessing

The after party outfit!
We sure are proud parents

I absolutely love being a mom!
A smile that just melts ya!

It was fun to have friends and family...and lots of food!

We had Lydia's blessing July 6, 2008. It was such an amazing day. I felt so overwhelmed because of how blessed I really feel. We have this absolutely gorgeous daughter who has truly brought so much joy into our home. It was so nice to have family and friends over, we have always had such an amazing support I really don't know what I would do without it. It was also very cool because Tim and Marie blessed Deni right before we did, so not only are the girls two days apart but now they share the same blessing day!

Thanksgiving Point

Bode with the brass statue...it was art in the gardens week!
Cousin Bode looking in on sleepy Lydia
Raini had the cutest little hat and was so happy the whole day

For Robin's birthday we went to the gardens at Thanksgiving point. It was a blast watching Bode playing in the water fountains and little pools that we came across. Lydia and Raini hung out in their stollers, while we had a great time enjoying the beautiful gardens.

This is my favorite pic of her holding on to grandpa's finger

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!

It's a girl!

She's going to be a dancer
