13.1...Miles of FUN!

Well last Saturday I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon. Before having kids I had run a half dozen half marathon's and two full marathons. Training for them was easy cheesy, especially since I had the entire summer off to run basically whenever I wanted. After having kids and especially two that changed a little (Ok a lot!)

Anyways I have been very diligent about running on the treadmill almost every day. So I decided I would like to start working towards something. Anyways my cute Friend Jill I used to run with (before she so rudely moved to Texas...just kidding Jill) had run it last year and said she had a lot of fun so I decided I would try it as well.

Lucky for me a couple of girls from my old ward were also running it. It was a lot of fun running it with them. They both killed me time wise , but I was just happy to have finished (ha ha ha!)

I finished...
14th in my age division
88th overall
with a time of 2:09:25

The Best part of the entire race was seeing Chris, Lydia and Audrey at the finish...I will admit I started to cry a little especially when I saw the darling sign Chris had made for Lydia to hold. And to be honest the thought that kept me going was my cute family at the finish, and knowing they would be proud of me!

It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the SLC 1/2 Marathon next month, and hopefully I can get into the St.George Marathon in October (which is the ultimate goal...wish me luck!)

I am sorry but wouldn't this melt just about anyone's heart?
If I look like I am about to cry it is because I am!
I couldn't resist, I had to carry Lydia through the finish with me. She kept saying "Mom, you are sssoooo sweaty!"
Keri G., Keri T., and ME
THey both finished in 1:53...ya they did AWESOME!!!
My motivation
When I got home Chris hung it in the garage right in front of where I pull the car in. He told me it was so I would feel like the family is always cheering me on...Love that hubby of mine!

Sick and Tired

Poor Auddy has been sick, one night every time we laid her flat on her back she would cry and cry, so we tried the swing...before we went to bed we checked to see if we thought we needed to move her back to her crib and after seeing her nearly falling out...we decided we better (ha ha ha!)

AFTER!!!

Well after countless hour dis-assembling, re-assembling, moving and refinishing our play-set is finally somewhat presentable...and Lydia couldn't have been more thrilled. I spent 4 hrs on Saturday spraying and refinishing this and Chris spent another couple hrs hitting the spots I couldn't. There were a few casualties our poor back fence, the swing and even Che' were victims of the stain. When I finally came inside Lydia was freaking out because she thought I was hurt it was all over my face, hands, clothes and hair.

Note to self...next time you stain a playhouse, make sure it isn't going to be a windy day (that may or may not be possible in Riverton though I swear...ha ha ha!) Anyways I am so excited that Lydia now has a fun little playhouse and hopefully will no longer be going out to lay in the dirt (ha ha ha!)

A huge thanks to my Dad and Mom. My dad helped us disassemble and transport it and then he also helped us move and re-assemble it, and my mom watched my girls so I could help. Also I really do have a really great husband who was willing to give up his day off (the first in a long time) and give in to what his somewhat crazy wife wanted to do! Love ya babe!
Don't look too closely at this, let's just say I am the farthest thing from a perfectionist and Audrey was taking a nap during this process so I knew my time was very limited (luckily she took a 4 hr nap that day!)
I think Lydia is seriously in HEAVEN, it is like having a park in her very small back yard (ha ha ha!)
She loves her "GREEN" slide...she talks about how it is green all the time.

Lepre-COM Day!

Well we had a very special visitor on St. Patty's day. Lucky the Leprechaun or LeperCOM as Lydia says it. He was a naughty Leprechaun and trashed out kitchen and family room but he left Lydia a hint with his feet prints where he hid is pot of gold. Then he also left us green mix to make green waffles and green milk.

Lydia was in HEAVEN and wanted to tell everyone that day about the Leprecom that came to our house. We had Lucky Charm's for dinner that night and luckily there was a picture of Lucky the leprechaun that visited our house (Liddy loved it!)
That pesky Leprechaun
He left quite a mess...Lydia was so worried.
Can you tell she just woke up?
The Leprecom even hid her blanket...she was the most distressed about that one.
She found her pot of gold...chocolate god nuggets that is (too bad I have eaten way more of them then her!)
Yummy!
Lydia was even nice enough to share her pot of gold with Auddy, but too bad Auddy can't quite handle chocolate and ring pops yet (LOL!)
Green Waffles...Yummy!
Lydia was in heaven with her green waffles and green milk!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We are big girls NOW!!!

Lydia
Is officially POTTY TRAINED!!!
Not a single accident in over 3 weeks
and...

Audrey
is SITTING UP all by herslef!!!
I still put the pillows behind her as a precaution but she doesn't need them (yeah!)

Before....After coming soon!

Last weekend I searched high and low for a play-set on KSL that we could get for Lydia for her upcoming birthday. After having 3 sold out from under us, we finally found someone who was good for their word and bought this one for $150.00. It isn't very pretty, but we are going to completely refinish it...so the after is coming soon!

Adios!

My brother Derek and his girlfriend are going on a south American adventure. THey will be traveling, living in hostels and on farms, traveling by bus around Peru, Bolivia and Argentina for the next 3 months! So we said Adios to them last Sunday and we won't see them again until June! We love you both and hope you have a safe and very fun trip!
I have seen one too many "Dateline's" so we were trying to get good photo's in case anything happens and we have to put their pictures on mission people posters (ha ha ha!) Just kidding bro.

Ashley is so cute with my girls, we hope she becomes Aunt Ashley one of these days!

Glow Worm

I Had a glow worm when I was little
It warms my heart to see that my daughter loves her glow worm just like I did!

5 Months=So Much FUN!!!

Well Audrey turned 5 months a few days ago and all I can say is she is seriously so much...
FUN!!!
Every day she is growing and developing and becoming more aware of her surroundings! I am only going to do a brief update because I figure I will do the big one after the 6 month Dr. Appointment.

So to summarize life with Audrey:

Lots of smiles, giggles...and big open mouth kisses!

Lots of bananas, carrots, pears, sweet potatoes, and she loves her "Baby Mum, Mum's!" (little rice crackers that melt in her mouth!

Lots of grabbing of toys, hair, earrings, and anything else she can get her hands on!

Lots of tummy time, and even almost sitting up all on her own. She would be able to do it I swear if her feet didn't look so appetizing to her (ha ha ha!)

Lots of loving her sister, anything Lydia does Audrey is right there with a squeal or laugh to let her know how much she loves her. She is a little weary of Che' I will have to get a picture of her reaction to him, I have never seen her eyes get so BIG!!!

Overall just lots of fun with my baby girl who feels like she is growing up way too fast! Who are we kidding I feel like one lucky mama to have two girls that fill my life with so much joy!

P.S. I use a lot of ! marks...I guess I really get excited about my kids (ha ha ha!)

Aud's with the Bear, she isn't looking quite as small...I guess!
She really is always so HAPPY...just like her sweatshirt says
Love that smile!

She is a really good escape artist, she can wiggle her way down or out of just about anything!
Loving her time in the exersaucer!
She is definitely teething, she puts anything and everything in her mouth..this is her favorite item by far!

Dino Museum...part 2!

So last Friday Meg, Angie and I all took our kids (and Meg's cute nephew Ian) to the dino museum. Lydia was so excited that we were going back. To say that she loves this place is a total understatement...she is OBSESSED!

Angie has the cutest little twin boys, and Ian and Lydia are about a year apart so it was a perfect activity for a Friday afternoon. We went to Chick-fil-A afterwards where the kids played on the playground for about an hour and a half...it was a great start to our weekend!

Thanks girls for the invite, we will definitely have to do it again SOON!

The kiddo's...I tried to get a pic of them all looking at the fish but as soon as I got my camera out they ran away!
SCARY!
She kept asking me if she could climb the leg...ha ha ha!
Meg with cute baby Cash...he was an ANGEL the entire time!
"Momma hurry....yook at this!"
Lydia and Ian
Andrew and Jack...aren't they so stinking cute?

This is my favorite pic of her holding on to grandpa's finger

Baby Girl

Baby Girl
This is our baby girl at 16 weeks. It was such an amazing thing to see her moving and count all of her fingers and toes for the first time. I know I bawled and Chris won't admitt it, but he was pretty emotional as well.

It's a girl!

It's a girl!

She's going to be a dancer
